Why is our group training the best in Tempe? There is no shortage of group options out there. All sorts of programs that offer similar results, but wildly vary in the method to get there.

Here’s what we do differently at Journey.

  1. We Lift Weights- A lot of bootcamps and boutique gyms focus on burning calories and movement. We focus on building strength and muscle. The foundation of our group training is built on strength training.

  2. We Train for Longevity- Some gyms require such a high intensity to keep up. We help clients who are busy with work, family, kids, and travel. It’s unfair to ask our members to train at such a high intensity year round. Rather than constantly beating you down, our program builds you up, and keeps you healthy for the long haul. It’s not perfect, but it absolutely is sustainable.

  3. We Deliver Results- When our members follow our program and are fully bought in, they get awesome results. Talking about something is one thing. Following through and actually doing, that’s the toughest part! Our team will challenge you and push you to do what you said you wanted to do.

  4. We Have Great Community- Everyone says this, and honestly, this word get’s overused quite a bit. But we really do have awesome members who care for one another as well our our greater community of Tempe. Not only does our gym host barbecues, potlucks, pool parties, and holiday parties, but we also give back to our community. We pack bags for the homeless each year (Blessing Bags), and we host an annual breast cancer fundraiser workout each October, to support a local family struggling.

  5. We Individualize Training- Every single person has some sort of dysfunction and pain at some point in their life. Each group coach is qualified to make adjustments when it’s appropriate. If you have any pain that’s limiting you in any way, we do a great job to accommodate and modify our program to help give you the best workout.

  6. Quality over Quantity- We don’t believe in huge groups where coaches can’t maintain healthy structure. We believe lifting weights and teaching our members how to do things properly sets them up for a very long and healthy future. Our typical class size ranges from 5-10 members. Our coaches are passionate about seeing our members moving healthily and correctly, not just burning as many calories as possible.
